The purpose of the present study was to prepare and evaluate the herbal sunscreen lotion containing plant extracts of Yasahd, Simmondsia chinensis, Vitis venifera, and Camellia sinensis. The extracts of Camellia sinensis, aloe vera gel, virgin coconut oil, and cold-pressed grape seed oil were prepared for lotion. The herbal sunscreen lotions F1, F2, and F3 were formulated, and further evaluation was done at the lab level. To demonstrate the UV absorbance of the prepared sunscreen, in vitro UV spectroscopy analysis and absorbance were conducted. After being examined, the spreadability, pH, viscosity, color, odor, and other physical characteristics were found to be within acceptable bounds and produced positive outcomes. The F2 lotion gave the best result and better absorbance in the UV region. F1, F2, and F3 had no change in pH, spreadability, viscosity, appearance, color, or odor; no phase separation was observed; therefore, the formulated sunscreen lotion is safe, non-toxic, and effective to use on skin to protect the skin from the harmful ultraviolet radiation.
